Like the rest of us I am sure you truly enjoyed your opportunity to meet with your neighbours at our events over the years. Maybe you even visited or bought something - or sold something – at the Gooderham and Worts Neighbourhood Association’s Garage Sale. These events enhance the enjoyment of our neighbourhood and help build a strong sense of community. The Gooderham and Worts Neighbourhood Association has proudly sponsored many events and many garage sales.

Consulting with Neighbours
The Gooderham & Worts Neighbourhood Association also co-chair’s the Round Table. This group consists of The Distillery, the various condo boards and the City Councillor’s Office. This provides us with a forum to develop protocols for events, to discuss traffic, and to plan joint action on items such as transit in the area.

Supporting the Community
Gooderham & Worts Neighbourhood Association is also part of various Liaison, stakeholder and development organizations. Just to name a few, we presently have representation at, The Cherry Street Construction Liaison Committee (overseeing issues around the redevelopment of Cherry Street), West Don Lands Committee, 51 Division Community Police Liaison Committee (CPLC), The First Parliament Site Working Group and The St. Lawrence Community Centre. We also, among other things, sponsor a soccer team.

Monthly Meetings
Once a month our Board meets. Our meetings are open to the public, giving the membership an opportunity to not only be informed about the business of the Association but to hear some great speakers on those issues that are important to our neighbourhood i.e. policing, planning, the Para Pan Am Games, developments, etc.

Involvement with the City

The Gooderham & Worts Neighbourhood Association is a familiar figure at many City council discussions and has deputed on a wide variety of issues. We have promoted productive relationships with many Councillors, especially our own Ward 28 Councillor, Pam McConnell. This ensures that we are well served by our City Government and staff.

PLEASE CONSIDER JOINING OUR BOARD!

If you would like to join our Board and help promote all the above initiatives please write to:
NOMINATIONS@GWNA.CA We also accept nominations from the floor. I am sure you will find it an entirely great, satisfying and productive experience.

LOVE TO HAVE YOU JOIN US! YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!
