NEW: Changes and Choices: Living Well in our Community
LLID has received a new $9,475 grant from WoodGreen Community Services for a project we called Changes and Choices: Living Well in Our Community. This project is a senior-led, peer-to-peer initiative designed to help with proactive planning for healthy aging, using a proven five-part framework covering health, housing, social connection, caregiving teams, and finances.
For this project, we will be working with Sue Lantz, who is Managing Director of Collaborative Aging and Author of the ‘Options Open: The Guide for Mapping Your Best Aging Journey’© and it will be open to Distillery and Canary District residents. We will be looking for volunteers to serve as workshop facilitators for the program.
Planning for this project will begin in the next few weeks. Workshops will begin in the fall and the project will run until March 31, 2027. More information will be shared in the coming weeks and months.
